Cali was so super excited, incredibly happy that school was starting :) And having said that, that makes Rick’s and my job so much easier as parents!

We started out the morning without any electricity in Farmington due to a crazy storm the day before, but fortunately the school she attends in Kaysville wasn’t affected.

Cali is in 2nd Grade this year and shares the same class again with one of her besties, Leah :) Cali already knew of her teacher, Mrs. Jensen, from her previous school and really liked her from the start as her own teacher.

Now we just have to get into the swing of things with a new routine/schedule for our mornings and nights. No busses this year, but maybe carpools? Some have walked already, but that would be a big, fat, ‘no-go’ for this out of shape S.A.H.M!

Homework has already come home and so we begin again. How did my cutie get to be in 2nd grade already? :)

Cali we love you so much and wish you another happy and successful year at school! How fun and exciting for you to be one of the many who are the very first to attend the ‘far-out’ space-themed school, Endeavour Elementary! Go get ‘em Explorer!!

While playing after school today with Leah, Haylie and Carice, this is a paper she wrote:

“I started school today. My name is Cali. When i woke up i was excited! I wase’nt nervous at all! I like my teacher. my teachers name is Mrs. Jensen. i like all of the kids in my class. My hobbies are plaing with friends riding my bike, I want to learn to sew, so that might be one of my hobbies. I like dancing too. my favorite foods are sandwiches, pizza and other stuff my favorite things to do at school are reading stories, writing, going to recess, lunch, and so much more! Some of the kids in my class are Lauren, Abigail, Leah, Brock, Justin, and more I ♡ School!”
