The Kitchen is Officially Open

In our Draper Townhome Days, even though we didn’t have a chimney, Santa came on Christmas Eve and brought the girls a play kitchen.

It wasn’t until pretty recently that it has been stocked with spices, popcorn, baking soda, butter and the like. And thanks to our Alaskan Grandma and to the Christmas holiday again (and to Mommy for putting it there as a permanent home) a cookbook.

Also this past December, we celebrated our 2nd Christmas in Farmington… still no chimney, but another visit from Santa. He brought dollhouses, but Mommy and Daddy brought something also totally cool – play food.

But not that plastic crap you find at Toys R Us… this was beautifully hand-crafted play food by someone on Etsy. Do you know Etsy? Well, you should if you don’t.

I’d like to say this crafter had me at the banana slices (because I think that is a way-cool sentence) but I was liking all of it. This food was made out of eco-fi which is an ‘eco’ plus, but more importantly it was a wonderfully safe alternative to whatever crap China decided to put on the plastic crap play food they make. Sorry if that offends, but unsafe toys from China offends. In addition, buying this food supports an Etsy crafter = awesome. The banana slices are killer, however, and are my favorite. So incredibly cute. Cute! All of it, cute.

If you’re hungry, feel free to stop by for a bite. Here is what is on the menu. Today. Well, everyday. But it’s fresh! And delicious! And Cute!

Eggs, sunny-side up
Bacon, curly
Sausage, brown
Cheese Slice – American or Cheddar (you get to use your imagination, remember?)

and
Organic Carrots (i’m imagining)
