♨Pretty Purple Plums
It’s Friday again and you know what that means here at the Moore4 Headquarters… New Food Friday! Well, to tell you the truth, it was a little bit of a no go tonight. Our Sweet Little Carice has a bad cold and finally fell asleep for a late nap in an unconventional spot. We just let her get some much needed sleep while we got dinner going for the rest of us as well as slicing into our new food pick afterward.
But, Carice didn’t miss anything, actually.
I set out two plums for us to try, leaving the 3rd for Carice to taste at a later time. But after slicing up the purple fruit and having a bite, I finally decided it wasn’t really ripe. (It’s been awhile since I’ve had a plum! I remember eating them when I lived at home and loving ‘em!)The other one looked a little more ripe, but not really, either, so I didn’t chance it. I think Rick is right, your supposed to kind of have a ‘squooshy bite’ like when you bite into a ripe peach. This definitely was like biting into a crunchy non-ripe pear. So, we may have New Food Saturday, or maybe New Food Sunday, or New Food Whenever when those little plums decide to soften and are ready for a Moore4 taste test.
And maybe if toddlers are like adults, meaning they lose their sense of taste when a bad cold hits, Carice and the Plums will be ready at the same time.
♥Get Better Soon, Our Littlest LOVE♥
✌ A shout out of Thanks, to our Good Friend, Dena, for tips on how to better prepare Asssperagus! They sounded a lot more tasty than my over-steamed, butter concoction that was served Last Friday — Yill — ☹
Thanks for reminding me. Sometimes I forget how fast these little ones grow and I will miss the tiny fingerprints and messes made.
on February 7th, 2009 at 8:20 pmWe have sick ones too here in our house. Abbi was up all last night gasping for air, thank you Croup, and coughing up blood thanks to her dozens of bloody noses. Hello Doctor. Hope little Cariceee feels better soon. Cheers to plums!
on February 9th, 2009 at 2:52 pmI have a photo of Ina asleep on our kitchen counter at age 2. I love that no matter where or when, children can fall fast asleep. I miss those days.
