♨New Food… Saturday?
The Moore4 has fallen down and can’t seem to get up and get to eatin’ their new food finds! Last Friday we had Nectarines to try with dinner, but Mommy completely spaced it. She saw them on the counter after all was said and done. I think we cut them up on Saturday afternoon and ate them then. And really, I don’t think it was really a ‘new food’. I think even little baby Tilly has already eaten a bite of a nectarine.
Anyhoo… Daddy was going to pick Pot Stickers for his turn for NFF and saw them while shopping at one store, but thought he would pick them up at a different store, only to find they didn’t have any. I think I was to pick some up at Smith’s on my night off, only I ended up at the Library for my entire time doing income tax figurin’.
So, here is it Saturday today. We are thinking of doing the grocery shopping journey with the whole fam on Saturdays instead of Tuesday nights with just Cali and Daddy. It will free up a week night that may be helpful with life.
Anyhoo.. we bought pot stickers tonight, but also found Ming Tsai has his talent prepackaged, now, so we bought Chicken Spring Rolls.
They were pretty tasty. I prefer veggie spring rolls and these were a little too spicy for me because I am a wimpy, wimp, wimp when it comes to a little mouth fire.
Rick liked them. Cali gave it the ol’ College Try. Tilly attempted, was too hot, revisited it moments later and seemed to like it by giving Daddy a happy smile, but upon further noticing, she barely took a bite of it.
Do YOU have any ideas for us? Leave us a comment with a food you think the Moore4 should try for New Food Friday. You and Your Blog (if you have one) will be our featured guest for that Friday’s post!
Mmmm… spring rolls. I like the veggie ones, too. How about a tropical fruit for new food friday? You can imagine you’re in Hawaii when you eat pineapple, mango or papaya.
on February 22nd, 2009 at 9:43 amHow come you call Carice Tilly? It is really cute. Just wondering how it got started. I think you should try brussel sprouts for your new food friday. I love them.
