The Moore 4

Life, laughter, and plenty of madness

Jubilee in July

You'd better sit down for this blog. There's something there... in the distance... can you see it? What is that? What th'.... It looks like a house! The Moore4 is buying a house??!! Hoolllyyy Cooowww. Alright, so we aren't actually jubileeing until we are actually IN the house and we are calling it ours, (y'know how home buying goes...or so we've heard). But I must say we also feel a reverence for this home and for this opportunity because we weren't sure if having a home to this extent would ever come to pass for us and so we view it as a tremendous blessing from the Lord. We found a new development Richmond American Homes is building in Farmington, Utah. The location is easy for Rick to commute downtown, there is a brand new elementary school in the neighborhood that the girls will attend and well, the home is new, new, new! (C'mon people, we had mold and dryrot in the condo, we ain't goin' down that crooked path again.) We are being told a February 2008 move-in, but whatev...our lease isn't done until the end of April, so a few slow hammer thumps won't bother us in the least. And we get to spend $15k at the design center to pick out our flooring, cabinets, etc. This is so awesome. But what we have been jubileeing over is the fact that Rick attended a meeting at work and found out his work schedule isn't as ridgid as we have been making it. This explains why he was given a Blackberry and a laptop...he is to be accessable, attend his meetings and get his project(s) completed, whether at home or in the office. Whew...what a relief. It sure has opened up a little more flexiblitly in our home life, albeit, weird at first. I wake up and he's here!! But I like it, I like it! :)
Carice has taken command of her walking toy. She now knows how to manuver it around and get it out of jams, but she is not walking independantly yet. All in good time, I guess. If you say the word 'sanitize' to her, she rubs her little hands together! How cute is that?! She has a love of baby dolls already and fleece! She touches fleece (and one time it seemed, she just saw fleece) and the little thumb goes straight into the mouth.... Blankie + Thumb = Comfort. She is pointing to things and we are naming them for her. One night at the dinner table it sounded like she was trying to say lasagna; although it sounded like, "ahnya". I think she may be an early talker although from the back seat of the car we over hear her cute baby babble and big sis teasing her, "We don't have any CheeriO's, Tilly, so keep it down."

Cali got to ride her bike in a parade the ward/church had on July 24, Pioneer Day. I decorated her bike with purple and green streamers and flowers. Everyone met at the park after for yummy muffins and fresh fruit. We've also been trying to have her out and about playing more. Even 4 year olds need a social life :) She is signed up for swimming lessons twice a week at the outdoor Draper pool. Her first class was the last day of the month. She was a little nervous at first but ended up loving it! She was so cute in her striped tankini, pink Strawberry Shortcake shades and her long beautiful blonde ponytail; a true bathing beauty - and the mommy forgot her camera! Rats. She's still doing some vision therapy excersices at home but there's only so much time in one day and only one mommy! But we do the best we can...she has another check up in September. I think she is holding her own pretty well, thankfully. Now if the rest of us can find a way to hold it all altogether! See ya :)
